Since I said absolutely nothing positive in the last blog and didn’t spread an iota of joy, i’m going to make up for it in this post. A little catching up on THE YEDI FA List – La Notte, Mamma Roma and those who haven’t seen it, Amelia. I have seen Amelia twice and needless to say, it is splendid, in my opinion. One of @MiraPagliNair’s best, again, in my opinion.
As for the AD FA List, earlier I had forgotten to mention The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie and Pickpocket (1959). According to @munishbhardwaj, the latter is the finest film ever made.
Please feel free to let me know if there are movies you think people must watch. You can leave your suggestions in the comment section below or write to me on twitter. I am @mansinirjain. But please be discerning about the movies you promote. My soul would die if I saw just one more bad movie.
See you tomorrow
the Yedi AD
PS: Not to laugh at anyone. but, haha! Someone suggested Fight Club. If I were a meme I would punch them in the face and say “the first rule of Fight Club is: you do not talk about Fight Club.”
After friendly discussions and sifting through questionable memory, The Last Tycoon and Trois Couleurs trilogy have been added to the Yedi FA list. Ankur recommends Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter…and Spring. Another one i thought of was Stranger than Paradise. Hope you enjoy them all.
